Rehaunted Characters Hub
The detective you play, the people on the case, and the presence in the house.
Rehaunted is a small cast on purpose. You play one detective, you argue with one voice on the radio, you reconstruct what happened to one young woman, and you share the house with something that is not a second playable character. This hub stays spoiler-light: roles, how they sit in the investigation, and which wiki pages to open next. It will not name people Cauchemar has not named, and it will not recap the last room of the campaign.
If you want a route through the property, use the walkthrough. If you want the kit in Connor’s hands, use the detective toolkit. Characters here are about who is in the fiction, not about a roster of unlockable fighters.
The people this wiki can actually describe
Steam, IGN, and Cauchemar’s own copy agree on a short list:
- Connor Raines — the detective you inhabit in first person. He arrives for what looks like a straightforward death in a home. It is not. Full page: Connor Raines.
- The victim — a young woman found dead inside her house. Official materials do not publish a name this wiki will invent. You learn her through rooms, belongings, recordings, and the ways those clues refuse to agree.
- The radio partner — another detective, not a second player. Dialogue choices let you report findings and get pushed back. They are a theory-testing voice, not a hint fairy.
- The tall supernatural woman — the presence trailers and IGN’s gameplay drop put in the hallways. She is why the house never feels empty. She is not a playable character and not a “boss with a health bar” in the ARPG sense.
The combined page cast and entity keeps the victim, the radio voice, and the tall woman together so you can read the social geometry of the case without a spoiler plot dump.
How to read the cast without wrecking the case
Rehaunted’s design promise is that evidence contradicts itself and the game will not stamp a correct answer. That promise extends to people. A recording can lie. A radio suggestion can be incomplete. A room that looks like a shrine can be staging. Treat every named or unnamed figure as a source, not as a faction.
Useful habits:
- Separate observed facts (you saw the body placement, you magnified the note) from claimed facts (a voice, a diary, a partner theory).
- Do not decide the victim’s character from one object. Belongings in a horror house are often arranged to make you do exactly that.
- Do not decide the radio partner is omniscient because they are the only other human voice. They are not in the room. You are.
- Do not reduce the tall woman to a jumpscare mascot. She interrupts investigation. That is a mechanic and a statement about the house. Survival specifics live on how to survive.
How to investigate is the method. This hub is the list of who that method is pointed at.
What this is not
This is not a tier list. There are no alternate starters, no romance routes advertised, and no multiplayer roles. You cannot swap Connor for the radio partner. You cannot “unlock” the entity. The 22 Steam achievements include titles such as Murdered, Say It With Flowers, and The Usual Order; those names are flavor, not a published cast bible. This wiki will not reverse-engineer a family tree from achievement icons.
It is also not a lore wiki that invents surnames. If a later patch, Steam news post, or credits screen publishes names, launch notes and this hub should be updated together. Until then, “the young woman,” “the other detective,” and “the tall woman” are the accurate labels.
Where to go from here
- Playable detective: Connor Raines.
- Victim, radio, entity: cast and entity.
- First hour in his shoes: Getting Started.
- Building a conclusion from people and objects: endings explained.
- Whether the writing and scares landed at launch: review.
Cauchemar is a small studio; the credits will be short. Use them at the end of a run if you want performer names. Use this hub before a run if you want to know who you are supposed to care about without being told how the night ends.
