Cast and Entity

Rehaunted’s people list is short, and most of it is unnamed in public materials. Beside Connor Raines you have a victim described as a young woman found dead in her home, another detective on the radio, and a tall supernatural woman who occupies the house in trailers and in IGN’s gameplay footage. This page keeps those three in one place, spoiler-light, so you can play the case without this wiki inventing surnames or reciting the last reveal.

If a later Steam news post or credits card publishes names, update this page. Until then, the accurate language is the language Cauchemar already used.

The victim — a person, not a puzzle box lid

The assignment is a death in a house. Official copy does not give the young woman a name, age, or occupation this wiki will fabricate. You meet her the way a detective meets a stranger: rooms, clothes, photographs, handwriting, recordings, and the mess a life leaves when it stops.

Play her as a person the evidence is about, not as a boss key. Horror houses love to turn a woman into a symbol. Rehaunted’s whole trick is that symbols will not agree. A bedroom can look cared for and violated at the same time. A recording can sound intimate and staged. Fingerprints can belong to a story you like and a story you do not.

Board discipline:

  • Pin objects and timestamps, not a personality you invented from one poster.
  • Mark statements about her as claims until a second source holds.
  • When two belongings argue, keep both cards. Deleting the inconvenient one is how players “solve” a game that asked them not to.

You will learn more than this page should say. That extra belongs in your notes and, if you want a route, in the walkthrough. It does not belong here as a plot summary. Endings explained is the place to talk about conclusions without pretending the store page named a culprit.

The radio partner — friction on a timer

Connor is “alone, but not entirely,” as IGN put it. A second detective talks through the case in real time. You share findings, you take dialogue options, and those options can widen what you bother to look at. Tech coverage has described the radio as a theory-testing mechanic: the partner challenges assumptions instead of confirming a ghost type.

What they are not:

  • A second player. There is no drop-in, no couch partner, no online session.
  • A published character sheet. No official name, rank, or face this wiki will invent.
  • An oracle. They cannot see the room you are standing in. If they sound sure, that is still a claim.

Launch-specific: players have reported a radio dialogue timer that misbehaves — prompts expiring, lines sticking, or conversation desyncing from what you just found. That is a bug, not a writing tell that the partner “doesn’t believe you.” Stop in a safe corner before you key the radio, pick the line you can stand behind, and if the UI dies, use the workarounds on tips and bugs.

Use the partner as Connor would use a competent colleague on a bad line: report contradictions, ask for the next place to look, and do not outsource the board. The magnifier is in your hand.

The tall woman — interruption with a silhouette

Trailers and IGN’s seven-minute gameplay drop show a very tall, supernatural woman in a dark house. That is the entity this wiki will describe: tall, female-presenting, not natural, used by Cauchemar as both scare and stop-function. We will not give her a folklore name, a demon type, or a relationship status the game has not made public.

What she does to play:

  • She makes the house feel occupied when the furniture says abandoned. Steam’s own line: the house never feels empty.
  • She punishes tunnel vision. Magnifier up, UV blooming, camera raised — your field of view is a postage stamp. That is when a tall silhouette is funniest and least fair.
  • She is not a health-bar boss. Do not look for a stagger combo. Look for space, a lowered tool, and a path. How to survive is the page for that, on purpose, so this article does not turn into a spoiler-heavy kiting guide.

Launch-specific: entity spawns and clipping are already in the complaint pile. A figure popping through geometry is not a secret “phase.” If a spawn is nonsense, note the room, reload if the investigation is unreadable, and check launch notes. Do not rewrite your entire theory of the victim because a mesh came through a door.

The house as the fourth presence

Treat the property as cast. Every room is allowed to lie. Doors, photographs, audio, and clean surfaces are characters in the same way the radio is a character: they speak, they omit, they contradict. How to investigate is how you listen without marrying the first story.

The house is also a technical actor at launch. Clipping, stuck overlays, and radial-menu traps will impersonate hauntings. Separate “the entity did something designed” from “the build hiccupped.” Your board should not contain a pin that says “ghost UI.”

Spoiler boundary for this wiki

Safe on this page:

  • Roles (victim, radio detective, tall entity).
  • That evidence disagrees on purpose.
  • That you will be chased or interrupted.
  • That names are unpublished in the materials we have.

Not on this page:

  • The content of specific recordings.
  • A “true” relationship chart.
  • Ending recaps.
  • Invented names.

If you want press context without story beats, IGN’s announcement and gameplay pieces are linked from the links page. If you want to know whether the cast writing works on the Mixed launch reception, read the review after you have a board of your own, not before.

Connor still has to do the job. The victim still deserves a reconstruction that is not a meme. The partner still has to be argued with. The tall woman still gets the hallway. Hold all four of those facts at once and Rehaunted is doing what it advertised.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Does the victim have an official name?

Not in the Steam or IGN copy this wiki treats as fact. She is described as a young woman found dead in her home. Do not trust a random comment with a name.

Who am I talking to on the radio?

Another detective. No official name is published here. They challenge your reads through dialogue choices; they are not a second player.

Is the tall woman the killer?

This page will not assign a culprit. The entity is a supernatural presence that interrupts the investigation. Conclusions belong on your evidence board and on endings explained.

Will this page spoil the ending?

No. It stops at roles and how they affect play. Use the walkthrough and endings explained if you want deeper story structure.

How do I deal with the entity without a combat system?

Lower tools, make space, and follow how to survive. Rehaunted is not a shooter; the tall woman is not a raid boss.
